Every year, the JASU Formal was a great event where Japanese student organizations in the D.C. area come out, have fun, and meet people from different schools. This is the third year of the dance formal and students have came to expect an awesome formal from its host, the Japanese American Student Union of D.C. This year to mix things up a little, the formal was on October 29, which was Halloween weekend and the atmosphere reflected the haunted theme.
The dance was hosted by JASU at University of Maryland, College Park. A haunted attraction put the guests in an intense experience that let them walk through a house occupied by ghostly creatures and objects. One lucky guest won a Nintendo 3DS along with three others who won gift cards through the raffle. DJ Babylon Man was on the turntables mixing awesome music and the entertainment was provided by UMD dance team, Will of G, through their dance routines.
