Panel Discussion 2011

Date: February 26, 2011
Location: Georgetown University, Intercultural Center

JASU was proud to host its first ever academic event with the the panel discussion, “The Future of U.S.-Japan Relations.” We were honored to have three distinguished professors, Dr. Llewelyn Hughes, Dr. Kenki Adachi and Dr. James Raymond Vreeland join us for the evening. A group of 60 students had a chance to hear about the different facets of this complex bilateral relationship. The first 45 minutes of the discussion was based on prepared questions by the JASU executive board, and the second 45 minutes was dedicated for questions by the audience. After the discussion, students had a chance to talk more intimately with the professors at a dinner reception. We hope that this panel discussion contributes to furthering the understanding of Japan throughout our respective campuses.
